Soutwest Virginia Democrats’ training session May 30

The Democratic Party of Virginia is sponsoring a training session for Democratic activists in Lexington and the surrounding region on Friday May 30 at 7 p.m. at the Rockbridge Regional Library, 138 S. Main.

It’s the first of three meetings in southwest Virginia– the others will be in Salem and Lebanon.

The participants will include officials of the DPVA as well as representatives of the Veterans and Military Families Caucus, the Latino Caucus, the Young Democrats and the Mark Warner reelection campaign.

Topics of discussion will include state party rules, ways to strengthen county-to- county committee communications, ways to utilize VAN voter database, the new state voter ID law and information on the Rural Caucus retreat July 11-13 in Lynchburg.

If you can attend, please contact Gene Zitver at gzitver@aol.com or phone 202-372-7303.
